JustUpped is a social media app focused on sharing live content. It makes sharing real-time content easy and fun, and assures you can always see the real unfiltered photos and videos. Plus, it’s experimenting with a new feature for monetising influence without the need for advertising.
The Android team was already working hard to implement all the features you expect from a modern social networking app. We joined to speed up development, keep the quality high and implement some other more complex features.
APPROACH
Keeping the complexity down was one of our main concerns. A real-time app with many social features can quickly grow out of hand, especially when the team is focused on meeting a certain deadline. It’s important to discuss potential solutions together and have an agreement on how the app should be architected.
Besides that, we also experienced interesting challenges implementing some features:
– Real-time camera filters
– Photo and video stickers
– Smooth live streaming
– UI animations for added fun
RESULT
The application is still in beta phase and under development. We’ll share the result once it’s released.
